Verizon to launch Android TV streaming box with free month of YouTube
There have been reports recently that suggest Verizon plans to launch its own streaming box, but details about the device were a total mystery until today. CNET confirmed back in October that the said device was in the works and that it might be introduced by the end of the year.

Unfortunately, we're not in the position to tell you with 100% accuracy when exactly Verizon will launch the streaming box, but we do know it's an Android TV device. A Twitter handle that goes by the name of Android TV Rumors has found evidence in the Google Play Developer Console that the so-called Verizon Stream TV box will be powered by Android TV.

Even better, we have another picture of the device and some of the streaming box's specs. The device with model number JS8V has 2GB RAM and runs Android 9 right out of the box. We also know that the streaming box is part of Verizon's wider 5G Home Initiative.

CNET's report mentions that this is a 4K streaming box powered by Android TV, as well as the fact that it will include a free month of YouTube TV. On top of that, customers who switch from their cable providers to Verizon are given three months of service for free and one of following streaming boxes for free: Amazon Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick 4K, or its own Android TV streaming box.

Some extra info: No Netflix support at launch, the app will be preloaded but will give an error when launched. Also no 4K support for Amazon Prime Video
